Well hello my DA friends! I hope I find you all healthy, happy, and well.
This is a drawing I have been working on for awhile now, in between many other projects and corpses. I finally was able to buckle down and get it done this weekend. I must say I am very happy with the outcome. I am also glad to have this one done and out of the way so I can focus on the many corpses I have half way started and a couple others I need to finish, along with a few sewing projects. It's just too much sometimes I tell ya! There are many times that I wish a day was 48 hours long and all weekends were 3 day weekends, lol.
Needless to say you will be seeing a lot more of me, rather my art, very soon as I have many pieces nearing completion.
This is 9" x 12" on rough bristol board (I think - - I found a few sheets of this loose in a box and I liked the texture). The pencils are Cretacolor Monolith Woodless Graphite, HB to 9B. The birds are shiny cowbirds, the spider is a wolf spider (Hogna carolinensis), and the little fella that's bottom center is of course a bull frog. I choose them because they all have another animals name in their own.
Just stunning! And I love the tie-together of the duality of their names, how fun! Out of curiosity, what kinds of moths are those? Or are they stylized? Once again, incredible work! Makes me want to get it on the ball, lol!
